This past week was full of highs and lows of finally getting the house I’m in the middle of purchasing appraised and ending the week with a stomach virus that took me out for the weekend. I always try to look on the bright side of things and try to not let things keep me from work and exciting events coming up, such as a hopeful closing date next week. One thing I did have to admit to this past week is that it’s okay to take a step back and say I’ve pushed as much as I could, my body is telling me that I need to take a small break. This happened Friday night when I ended up having to admit that I felt bad enough to go home early and ended up sleeping for 11 hours that night.
Another exciting event that happened this week was Aaron Judge breaking the American League Home Run record that was held for the past 61 years. Because of this exciting event, I decided I wanted the Motivational Monday quote to come from the new AL Home Run record holder.

Every day is a new day and you can’t go back and change what happened the day before or in the past. The only thing we can do with the past is learn from it and continue to develop ourselves from it. For example, I’ve had quite the experience when buying my first house. I made a lot of mistakes in the first month I was actively looking for a house. But instead of being frustrated or put down by it, I learned from it and used the knowledge to have a better experience when I started looking again in August and eventually finding this house.
Use every day like it’s the first day and don’t let dwelling on the past consume your life to where you can’t move forward and grow from it. I’m not an expert on it, so I won’t say anymore on the matter, but this quote really stuck out to me and helped me realize the mentally Aaron Judge has to be able to achieve a record breaking career.
