Target – August 2023 Haul

It’s been so long since I’ve shared a haul with y’all on here! Honestly it was so exciting to go back to the stores and put together outfits to share with y’all. This haul is a massive one with ten outfits for a few reasons. First, it’s the first haul I’ve done in a while and had lots to choose from. Second, we’re going into a seasonal transition period where there’s a huge overhaul of outfits to choose from. And finally, I wanted to cover outfits for multiple occasions – teacher outfits, casual outfits, fall family photos, and work outfits.

There are two outfits that I’m sharing with y’all that aren’t available online yet, but I still wanted to share them as they are available in store. This week (August 14), all clothing is currently on sale for 30% off for circle members, so if you are wanting to add some fall staple items or refresh your closet, this week is the perfect time for it.

For reference, I’m 5’8 and normally wear a size 10/12. For Target clothing, my normal size is a Medium.

Knox Rose Eyelet Top – Size Medium (originally: $30/sale: $21) // Knox Rose Floral Shorts – Size Large (originally: $22/sale: $15.40)

This is the perfect transitional outfit for those of us living in the south where it doesn’t get cooler until October into November. The top is perfect to wear for any work setting all year round and comes in three other colors (green, blue, and red).

These shorts are the perfect muted color for the fall season that also have a fun and bold pattern to it. I sized up to a Large for more room in the thighs, but the waistband has a lot of stretch to it. I couldn’t leave the store without these shorts, especially with the sale price making it under $16.

Knox Rose Embroidered Dress – size Large (originally: $35/sale: $24.50)

I love the embroidered sleeve in this dress, especially keeping it as the main focus of the dress. The combo of the beige embroidery with the white dress gives it a neutral look that you can wear for the end of summer into the fall months, because I believe you should be able to wear white all year round. I could have gone for a Medium in this dress because of the elastic waist, but they didn’t have a Medium in the store. This dress also comes in a black color with white embroidery.

Knox Rose Floral Midi Dress – Size Medium (not available online yet)

This dress is the perfect dress for teachers to wear or for a casual dress for a family photo. The wrist bands are elastic to help create a balloon sleeve. There is a tie at the waist to help give it some definition and the top wrap does have a hook option for preference of how much of the chest you want to reveal. In the size Medium, there was some open space between where the hook is and where the front is sewed together. Sizing up would help solve this problem, but it would create a looser fit in the waist. This red floral pattern is so gorgeous in person and is the perfect fall dress.

Knox Rose Square Neck Midi Dress – Size Medium (not available online)

Another great fall dress option to wear for work or to go out for brunch. The material for this dress is a thicker fabric allowing for less movement or flow to the dress. The wide straps and square neckline give the top half a flatter shape. It does have pockets and would look great paired with a jean jacket or leather jacket.

Knox Rose Flow Tank Top – Size Large (originally: $22/sale: $15.40 // Universal Thread Straight Jeans – Size 8 Regular (originally: $24/sale: $16.80)

This top caught my eye because of the color and pattern of it. The dark blue allows you to bring the coastal blue and white style into the fall season, especially paired with a denim jacket for a more causal look. I’m wearing a size Large in this top and there is a lot of space in it, so I would stick to your normal size for this top. Unfortunately, they didn’t have a size Medium in the store for me to try on.

Universal Thread Jeans are my favorite jeans to wear for work because of the price point and quality. I suggest sizing down one size because they do stretch. The straight regular size hits me right above the ankle, so if you’re on the taller size I would go for the Long length if you want the jeans to hit right at the ankle.

Universal Thread Light Blue Denim Jacket – Size Large (originally: $30.60/sale: $21.42)

I call this the pinstripe seersucker denim jacket. This is an item that you can start wearing now if you have cooler summer nights and into the fall season to bring some light colors into the fall tones. This jacket just screamed coastal style to me and they even have a matching pair of jeans for it if you want to go for a denim on denim look. I’m wearing a size Large for layering purposes, but if I knew I was only going to wear thin material underneath it, I would go for a size Medium in it.

A New Day High Neck Tank – size Large (originally: $12/sale: $8.40) // A New Day Plaid Mini Skirt – size Large (originally: $25/sale: $17.50)

This is one of my favorite outfits from the haul. When you think of fall, this outfit comes to mind as one of the top fall looks immediately. Such a classic and preppy look that you can pair with boots or flats and a trench coat to wear now and later. I’m wearing a size Large in the top and the ribbed material makes it such a flattering look. This top comes in so many different colors to fit for any outfit you need it for.

The skirt is so much fun with deep pockets in the front. I’m wearing a size large in the skirt for length and a looser fit in the hips for movement. The length is perfect at this size. I didn’t feel like I was revealing anything when moving around in the dressing room and it didn’t move up at all. However, this made the skirt loose in the waist so it sat more on the hips. If you don’t have as much hips as I do or don’t care for a longer length, I would stick to your normal size. There is also a matching blazer to create a full suit look to wear to work.

A New Day High Neck Tank – size Large (originally: $12/sale: $8.40) // A New Day Plaid Elastic Waist Pants – size Large (originally: $25/sale: $17.50)

I loved the pattern on these pants. It’s very similar to a brown houndstooth design, but also matches closely to the skirt pattern. It is a full elastic waist band to create a comfortable look while also looking professional, perfect for those working from home or for those who move around a lot for work. I grabbed the size Large for length and while it does hit at the perfect spot on the ankle, it is a little loose in the waist, losing the fitted look I prefer in most pants.

A New Day High Neck Tank – size Large (originally: $12/sale: $8.40) // A New Day Faux Leather Mini Skirt – size Large (originally: $25/sale: $17.50)

The same skirt as the plaid one earlier, but in a dark brown faux leather color. Faux leather is back for another year and I love this brown color. Originally, I was going to pair it with a white tank top, but I am obsessed with how this monochromatic look came out. Again you can pair it with some nude flats and a camel coat and it’s the perfect neutral fall outfit.

A New Day Quarter Zip Pullover – size Medium (not available online yet)

I saw this one a friend’s Instagram story and immediately went to find one in store. They called this one a great dupe for Lululemon’s Scuba Pullover, but at a fraction of the price at $22-25. The inside of the pullover is a fleece material that is so soft and comfy. I grabbed it in a size Medium and it is a more fitted look. If you want a looser fit or an oversized fit, I would go up a size or two. This pullover also comes in a black color with gold zipper detail.
