Target Haul – April 2021

Hey hey! I know we’re basically at the end of May when I’m finally sharing this blog post with y’all, but let me tell y’all coding is a lot harder than I thought it would be and trying to get this new website up and running was a challenge. Have you ever felt like you wanted to throw something across the room every time you tried to fix something? That’s how it was for me with this new website design. But we have it up and running and I can’t wait to start sharing more blog posts with y’all!

What I love most about April’s haul is that a lot of the items I share can be used throughout the summer with staple items such as basic white tees and white jeans. Some of these tops can also be used all year round for lounging around the house or throwing a quick outfit together to run errands. I shared the try on for this haul on my Instagram a few weeks ago and you can find it thorough my highlight page.

Top: A New Day Ruffle Short Sleeve Linen Top (wearing size Medium//$20)//Jeans: Universal Thread Mid-Rise Skinny Jeans (wearing size 8//$29.99)

This gingham top is the perfect lightweight fun top to dress up for work or dress down to hang out with friends for brunch. What I loved most about this top is how easy it was to layer with a denim jacket over it. The jacket was able to flatten the sleeves without making my shoulders look bulky. This top is currently sold out online, but I found a few similar styles at target here and here (I’ll be sharing them in more detail in June’s haul 😉) .

White jeans are such a summer staple item and I needed a new pair of jeans. I discovered Universal Thread jeans a few months ago when I was looking for a new pair of black jeans for work and they did not disappoint. They have the perfect stretch in the denim to allow for maximum movement throughout the day and these white jeans have the subtle distressed hint in the knees and a frayed hem at the ends. Because they do stretch so much, I suggest sizing down one size.

Dress: A New Day Long Sleeve High Cuff Shirtdress (wearing size Medium – TTS//$27.99)

I’ve been searching for the perfect blue and white striped dress that was also a wallet friendly buy for years. When I was wandering around Target one day and spotting this dress, it was no question that this dress was coming home with me. There are so many parts of this dress to love, from the button down front to the tie waist, keeping the classic look in this dress. The twist to this dress that you don’t see on the hanger? Puff sleeves to add a little fun to the dress and and slits on the sides of the dress to help with movement.

This dress is perfect for any summer vacation, especially if you’re going to any Northeast town like Cape Cod or Nantucket or to the Carolina’s. You can also dress it up with nude heels or dress it down with sandals. Finally, pair it with a straw cross body bag to complete this summer vacation look. This dress also comes in three other colors.

Shirt: A New Day Short Sleeve Linen Shirt (wearing size Large//$12)

Y’all, one of the most perfect basic white tees in right here at Target. What is not to love about this shirt. It’s a boxy shape for the perfect loose fit and the sleeves are rolled at the end and sewed down to make for a clean edge. I’ve worn this shirt paired with everything from jeans to leggings to go hiking in the mountains to shorts for the warmer summer days. This shirt will also be a great coverup for swimsuits if you’re like me and don’t like swimsuit coverups. It’s available in seven other colors.
